Hat Care & Servicing

​Treat your hat with respect, use the brim to put your hat on and to take it off.  Do your best not to handle your Fru by the pinch.  Doing so can cause stains, mis-shaping, cracking, and discoloration.

​When your hat is not being worn, do not rest the hat on the brim, stand it on the crown.

​Do your best to keep your hat out of the rain and as dry as possible.  After all, it’s not an umbrella.  If it’s raining, feel free to wear your hat, but use an umbrella.

​Should your hat be wet or moist from sweat, turn the sweatband outward and allow the hat to dry on its own away from direct sunlight. 

​For felt hats: Remove lint and debris with a Fruition Hat Brush or Fruition Hat Sponge.  Try not to go against the “grain,” brush your hat in the direction that the felt lays smoothest.

​For straw hats: Give your hat a light steam and remove debris with a Fruition Hat Brush.

​Do not dry clean!  Ever.  If it gets that real, you need to utilize a hat cleaning professional like us.  You are always welcomed to contact us for help and get your hat to us for the assistance that it needs.
